La Villa Almanarre
Overlooking Almanarre Beach, rising from the pine trees of the Costebelle neighbourhood, Villa Almanarre - built in 1885 for a British colonel - embodies the golden age of holiday resorts on the Côte d'Azur. The architect Marcel Deslignières designed it in an eclectic style, featuring corbelled windows and ceramic friezes by Jules-Paul Loebnitz.
Alexandre Lafourcade has reimagined each space, creating seven bedrooms with their own coordinating bathrooms, an elegant kitchen, a large living room, a billiard room, a small sitting room and a hammam on the ground floor. The challenge of this architectural project lies in connecting the villa to the garden by extending the existing staircase into the interior. During construction, the team had to adapt to the exposed rock. Céline Lafourcade is coordinating the works and Juliette Macherey designed the interior- a true masterclass in colour harmony. She presents a contemporary version on Art Deco.
Dominique Lafourcade redesigned the historic gardens, transforming them into the elegant setting for a mosaic-clad swimming pool, overlooked by a terrace lined with balustrades.
