A shed on the Mediterranean

Surrounded by the ocean as far as the eye can see, a forgotten building becomes a secluded eyrie.

The owner entrusted Lafourcade Architecture with the creation of a "fun" holiday home. She provided the Lafourcade studio with a meticulously captioned style journal compiled during her travels in Latin America, the Mediterranean, and elsewhere. They used this as the inspiration for a simple and fresh holiday home.

At the rocky tip of the island, the house stands in its austere beauty, as low-key as it is elegant.

The owner explains: "I wanted a contrast between the blue of the sea and the vivid red. Only white works with these two dynamic colours. Other essential points for me: the furniture, which shouldn't be allowed to obstruct the view, and showcasing contemporary artworks."
